This is where Tia used to sleep many nights. A friend’s mom brought us a wonderful display of flowers; I added her leash and my stepmom added her favorite chewed up ball. We love you Tia. (Taken with Instagram)

The fact that I know two people in this photo makes my day.

tables-that-turn:

Check this out. In January, all cinemas across the nation are going through a digital revolution. The big name corporations will be able to fund the theaters the money for them to do so, but The Lyric Cinema Cafe is not one of those. We’re a small independent movie theater in Fort Collins, Colorado, run by locals for the locals, literally everything local. The cost for us to switch over to digital is going to cost 150,000 Dollars.
Why Digital? The film distributors are no longer making film, so the once dying art, is now officially resting in it’s grave. Although film is dead, the lyric is not and must survive. Not only for our local residents to see a movie and get a beer, but for everyone in Colorado who wants to see these obscure films no one else is showing.

This is our kickstarter. We have tons of cool stuff we’re giving to pledges as well as taking donations in the store. Let your friends and family know about the Lyric. This is no longer a fight for film, this is about keeping local alive.
We’re giving everything from personally made jingles about you(Donater), chairs with your names on it, Memberships, BEER AND TEE SHIRTS, and if you have the big bucks…A movie of your choice played at the theater for a week!
